![]() The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), strives to improve access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable. The Challenge:HRSA sought to ensure that IT projects supported the agency’s mission, were well managed, and in compliance with agency standards. The Solution:In 2008, HRSA engaged TurningPoint to provide CIO Support by enhancing IT governance. We established a Project Management Office and created the HRSA Enterprise Project Lifecycle (EPLC) to provide a consistent performance standard for managing projects within approved cost and schedule restraints and in alignment with:
The Result: HRSA now has a process for continuous review of project health and performance. The HRSA project officer has called our work on this project “among the best of its kind at HHS,” and said that “At every step of the approval process, executives commented on the high quality of the product.” |
