Our client, a global telecommunications carrier, was awarded a contract from the Department of Transportation (DOT) to deliver services under the GSA Networx Universal contract.
The Challenge: As with many Federal agencies, DOT telecom operations were decentralized under the FTS2001 contract; telecom records were located in disparate locations at the sub-agency level, and many only existed in hard copy format. Our client was struggling to efficiently inventory the telecom data and records necessary to execute the FTS2001 to Networx transition.
The Solution: Empowered with NiOS, our FISMA-compliant telecom software application, TurningPoint telecom experts loaded, normalized, and scrubbed the telecom data to ensure completeness and accuracy and affect a seamless transition. TurningPoint automated our client's Networx transition process by:
- Creating a centralized database repository for telecom assets
- Implementing governance and business process improvements
- Providing accurate progress tracking through metrics reporting to facilitate continuous process improvement
The Result: TurningPoint enabled our client to provide telecom services to DOT with increased accuracy and efficiency.
